Best Lake Travis Boat Slip and Jet Ski Port Rentals

People looking for a boat slip or PWC dock rental on Lake Travis have several key factors to consider.

Marina environment: Are you looking for a wild party atmosphere, or a quiet place to take your family for the weekend? Some marinas are adjacent to bars, restaurants, fuel docks and water parks. Decide how close you want to be to these before you rent a boat slip. WBM is intended to be a quiet, family-friendly place. But it’s just a short ride to bars, restaurants and other attractions.

Location: We’re on Hudson Bend, just a short drive from Bee Cave, Lakeway, Cedar Park or Steiner Ranch. Unlike marinas located on steep slopes, our flat terrain enables you to park close to your boat slip or Sea-Doo port.

Lake Travis is 63 miles long. So it makes sense to look for boat slips or PWC ports in the area you’re going to use the most. You’ll save on fuel by choosing a marina close to your favorite fishing hole, beach or water skiing spot. And you’ll be pleased to know West Beach is just a couple minutes from Devil’s Cove — one of the most popular spots on Lake Travis.

Key Boat Slip and Marina Features

Dock configuration for low water levels: A Lake Travis boat slip located on shallow or narrow cove can have problems when the water level falls below 650’ above Mean Sea Level (MSL). Other marinas have to crowd their docks together — or move them out into the middle of the lake — to keep them afloat. Crowded boat slips make maneuvering powerboats and sailboats difficult. This increases the chances of collision or grounding.

Availability of water and electricity: When the water level is low, yacht clubs and marinas  are forced to move the docks into deeper water and reconfigure their boat slips. With this cramped arrangement, they may not be able to provide electricity to every dock. This makes it difficult to clean your boat, charge your battery or use your HydroHoist. Be sure to find out if electrical service will still be available when the marina docks are reconfigured for low water levels.

Security: Your boat or personal watercraft are valuable possessions. So look for Jet Ski docks or boat slips at a marina that has good security and surveillance. You’ll find the best Lake Travis marinas have gated entrances, video surveillance and a night watch service that patrols the docks, slips and PWC ports at night.

Additional Factors to Consider

Boat ramp access and ease of use: Most public launch ramps on Lake Travis close when the water level falls below 640’ above MSL. If you want to launch or haul at lower levels, choose a marina with water access going down to at least 630’ above MSL. And there should be ample parking for tow vehicles and trailers close to the ramp and the boat slips.

Lake Travis Boat Slips Rental Cost
Generally boat slips on Lake Travis rent by the foot, and the price quoted is a monthly fee. A covered slip rents for more than uncovered one; and there is usually an additional charge for electricity or water on the dock.
Jet Ski, Ski-Doo or WaveRunner slip rentals cost much less. To get an apples to apples comparison, consider the total costs at several marinas — including the cost of trailer storage, utilities and other charges.

Marinas and boating clubs have a broad range of features, and people choose one over the other a variety of reasons. We’re confident that WBM offers the best value in boat slips on Lake Travis. We look forward to talking with you about our facilities and why you will be happy customer with us.
